Material Controller (AD-PROD1)

Due to continued growth at our site in Edinburgh we are looking for an experienced Material Controller to join our team, on a Full-Time basis.


Reporting to the Production Manager, responsibilities will include:

  • Purchasing materials.

  • Database management.

  • Stock control.

  • Material requirement planning.

  • Component kits preparation.


Essential Skills

  • Keen interest in Electronics.

  • Able to work effectively to deadlines and under pressure.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good knowledge of MS Office Tools.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels.

  • Be a Proactive and energetic individual with dedication to providing exceptional customer service.


Desirable

  • Understand component identification codes such as Resistors, Capacitors and IC’s.

  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).

  • Knowledge of Sage 200, but not essential as training will be provided.

  • ONC-HNC or equivalent in Electronics/Mechatronics.


Experience

  • Previous experience of purchasing and stock management of Electronic components.

  • Experience of materials management in Contract Electronic Manufacturing environment or similar, 2yrs+.

FPGA Board Design Engineer [Edinburgh] (AD-ENG8)

A position exists for an experienced digital board level design engineer. Experience of high-speed digital circuit design is essential. Experience of FPGA board design is preferred and additional experience of Analogue design would be valuable. A Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronic Engineering and a minimum of 3 years experience is required, but more would be valued. Salary will reflect experience. UK citizenship or EU/EEA citizen with UK settled or pre-settled status is required for this position.

Electrical Engineer - PCB & FPGA Design [Colorado] (AD-ENG7)

Alpha Data is seeking a qualified Electrical / Electronics Design Engineer for our Colorado office. This is an exciting opportunity with a small successful company to help launch new products. Required Experience:

Responsibilities:

Administration of Sales Orders - Responds to customer inquiries by telephone or e-mail to provide non-technical information, process orders and provide customer assistance with order logistics.

Customer Service - Monitor order status, check stock availability, shipping of routine products, and expediting. Analyze a customer's service needs and refer to other departments for follow up as needed.

Customer Relationship Management - Input and track data to record activities and research customer information.

Embedded Software Engineer [Edinburgh] (AD-ENG6)

A position exists for an embedded software engineer, interested in driver development and embedded system design. Experience of C/C++, embedded Linux and FPGA firmware design would be very valuable. UK citizenship or EU/EEA citizen with UK settled or pre-settled status is required for this position.

Digital Design Engineer [Edinburgh] (AD-ENG5)

A position exists for a design engineer interested in digital design, board level design, FPGA firmware design and embedded software. Experience of VHDL, Verilog, C/C++ and Matlab would be very valuable. The position may be suitable for a recently qualified graduate with a degree in Electronics Engineering, or a graduate with a few years experience. UK citizenship or EU/EEA citizen with UK settled or pre-settled status is required for this position.

FPGA Engineer [Edinburgh] (AD-ENG4)

Positions exist for design engineers interested in FPGA firmware design, embedded software, digital and analog design. Experience of VHDL, Verilog, C/C++ and Matlab would be very valuable. UK citizenship or EU/EEA citizen with UK settled or pre-settled status is required for this position.
