Alpha Data is looking for a motivated IT/Security practitioner, with expertise in security and compliance, to assist the roll out of new processes and systems to meet growing U.S. IT compliance requirements. In addition to improving the company infrastructure the role will also entail supporting the day-to-day IT needs of the US office. For those interested the role also has scope to extend beyond IT tasks to include software engineering work related to the company’s products. This is a full-time in-office position in Littleton, CO – with a possibility for hybrid work after 1 year of service. US Citizenship required.
Compensation:
- Competitive Salary: $110-150K (adjusted for experience) + Bonus

Required Experience:
- Relevant Computer Science or Engineering degree, or other suitable qualifications.
- At least 5+ years’ experience in Computer Security and/or IT management.
Required Skills:
IT generalist with software engineering experience (to accommodate a future dual role):
- Familiar with CMMC and associated NIST 800-171 requirements and experience of IT Security / Risk / Compliance
- Experience with Active Directory and administering / managing Windows Desktops and Windows Servers
- Familiar with Linux
- Understanding of IPv4/IPv6 networking
- Familiarity Virtual Machine management and configuration
- Experience with Logging and Monitoring software
Bonus skills (non-essential) that may be attractive to future dual role in IT and Software Engineering:
- Experience in any of C/C++/Java/VHDL
- Any experience with FPGAs, embedded processors, or digital design.
- Experience with build systems and CI/CD flows.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Help implementing systems to achieve CMMC accreditation
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard our data and systems against cyber threats
- Manage ITAR-related systems
- Provide front-line support to US users
- Build new PCs / laptops as necessary for US users
- Help with other US-related IT administration activities
- Coordinate IT activities with International UK office
- Scope to expand role into software and systems tasks beyond IT
