Alpha Data Validates Rad-Hard NOR Flash Configuration Memory for AMD Versal Space Platforms
Alpha Data has integrated the Infineon CYPT17B01G133AZMB Rad-Hard NOR Flash memory device onto the ADM-VA600-FL4 plug-in configuration module, providing a hardware-verified configuration solution for AMD Versal Adaptive SoC platforms operating in space environments.
The ADM-VA600-FL4 is designed for direct use with the ADM-VA601 6U Space VPX development platform and the ADM-VB630 3U Space VPX processor card, both of which are built around AMD Versal Adaptive SoC devices qualified for space applications. The Infineon module is a 1Gb radiation-hardened QSPI NOR Flash device, offering the reliability and radiation tolerance demanded by deployable space-grade systems.
Hardware validation is now complete, with the module supporting single or dual fitted flash modules, providing configuration flexibility for applications where redundancy is required.
For teams developing and deploying AMD Versal solutions in space, the ADM-VA600-FL4 provides a validated, off-the-shelf configuration memory path, shortening the route from prototype to deployable system.
